What an incredible few days in Port Elizabeth, South Africa! 🇿🇦
The Energy X Change 2026 conference was unlike any European event I’ve attended — the warmth, the openness, and the genuine sense of community here are truly something special. Walking into a room full of people who are deeply passionate about renewable energy and workforce development, and feeling instantly welcomed — that’s not something you forget easily.
A heartfelt thank you to Paulo Cordeiro and Jayne van der Nest for their exceptional hospitality and for going out of their way to make us feel at home. Your kindness made all the difference.
A big shout-out to the team at SP Wind — your training centre is genuinely impressive. The facilities, the professionalism, and the vision behind it all speak for themselves. The renewable energy sector in South Africa is in great hands.
The visit wasn’t just about the conference. We also had the chance to meet our technicians working out on the wind farm — it was great to see them in action and catch up in person. And we also had the privilege of some truly memorable conversations with our client’s team — the kind that go well beyond the usual business talk. 🤝
Over these few days we built new connections and had truly fruitful conversations — the kind that stay with you and open real doors. Every session delivered value: from unified workforce development across wind, solar and storage, to HSE challenges, OEM expectations, and the future of instructor development.
We can’t wait to return to South Africa in person very soon. In the meantime, we’ll be working hard to grow our presence and deepen the relationships we’ve started here.
