Madrid, April 21–23, 2026. The wind industry descended on IFEMA for WindEurope’s Annual Event — and Custom Wind Solution was right in the middle of it.
With over 15,000 professionals, 620+ exhibitors, and some of the sharpest minds in wind energy gathered under one roof, the scale of the event matched the scale of the challenge Europe’s energy sector is facing. The message from the floor was clear: the technology is ready, the market is growing, and independent O&M expertise is more critical than ever as Europe’s aging turbine fleet demands serious, professional attention.
Day one set the tone. The wind industry launched the Madrid Call to Action — a bold call on EU leaders to fast-track permitting, prioritize grid connections, and repower aging wind farms. Wind already delivers 20% of Europe’s electricity. The ambition is to go much further, much faster.
For CWS, the three days were about people. Every conversation on the exhibition floor reinforced what we already believe: relationships drive this industry. We came to Madrid with open minds and left with new partnerships in the making — connections that we expect will shape the next chapter of our growth across Europe and beyond.
The turbines don’t stop turning — and neither do we. WindEurope 2026 reminded us why we do what we do. The energy transition is not a distant goal. It is happening now, turbine by turbine, service call by service call, partnership by partnership.
